Meet Niko. He cut the cost of a new patient lead by 45%.
Glendale Chiropractic & Pain Solutions traded generic ad creative for Niko, a 3D character built for the clinic. On Meta, cost per lead fell by roughly 45%. The clinic also now owns a mascot it can use everywhere.
Every caller in the first week dialed from a local area code.

The challenge
Most chiropractic ads look alike: a spine diagram, a stock photo, a discount.
Glendale had run Meta ads before. In a feed full of lookalikes, though, there was little to stop the scroll, and even less to make people remember the clinic’s name.
What Glace built
-
01
Niko, a character the clinic owns
A Pixar-style 3D guide who shows where pain starts and why, from a tight jaw to a stiff neck and sore shoulders.
-
02
Niko meets real patients
Animated explainers cut together with real patient stories, so the education is fun and the results feel real.
-
03
Posts that teach, then invite
Myth-busting carousels that open with a hook, explain the root cause, and end with a reason to book.
-
04
Ads built for one outcome: a phone call
Local targeting around the clinic, with every call tracked, so spend maps to patients, not likes.
Why a mascot pays off
Niko-led campaigns brought in leads at roughly 45% lower cost than the clinic’s earlier Meta ads. Every caller in the first week dialed from a local area code.
The wider research points the same way:
-
37%
37% more likely to grow market share and 30% more likely to grow profit, for campaigns built around a brand character (System1, IPA DataMINE).
-
50%
Up to 50% longer dwell time on digital ads that feature one (System1 and Lumen).
-
4%
Only 4% of US ads use a character. In a crowded feed, that rarity is the edge.

Most practices rent attention one ad at a time. Glendale built an asset that compounds: every video, post, and ad makes Niko, and the clinic behind him, a little more familiar.
